ALEXANDER WAITT · MS, MSEd, LPC

Hi, I’m Alex.

A conversation can begin with something you have been keeping to yourself, or something you have not quite found words for yet.

Alex Waitt, Licensed Professional Counselor

A little about me

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor working with adults and young adults in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. My work has included individual counseling and crisis intervention, alongside training and coaching for helping professionals.

I work with people navigating anxiety, relationship concerns, low mood, self-doubt, and life changes. Sometimes a particular situation brings you to therapy. Sometimes it is a pattern that you want to understand.

How I approach our conversations

My style is conversational, collaborative, and direct. I’ll ask questions and offer observations as we make sense of what is happening. You can let me know when an interpretation fits your experience and when it doesn’t.

I draw on a psychodynamic perspective and motivational interviewing. We can consider how earlier experiences shape what is happening now, while paying attention to your own choices, priorities, and reasons for change.

You do not need to have answers ready. We can make room for uncertainty and work out where to begin together.
